Epoxy Flake Flooring at Del-Val College

Here is an epoxy flake flooring system that was installed in Del-Val College in Doylestown, PA. The school was looking for an alternative flooring system that was easy to keep clean, anti-microbial and slip resistant.

Epoxy Flake Flooring Installation

Concepts in Concrete installed a multi-layer epoxy floor system with a polyaspartic topcoat. After preparing the floor by grinding, they installed an epoxy-based moisture vapor battier. This is very important as it is a locker room with active showers, sinks and toilets.

Next they poured out 100% solids epoxy base coat and broadcasted a custom flake color (To match school colors) Next, they installed a polyaspartic top coat. Polyaspartic is a highly chemical resistant coating that will not turn yellow over time like epoxy does. In addition, it is very easy to clean and more importantly the system we used is anti-microbial so super easy to disinfect and keep sanitary. They then had the mascot logos professionally installed and sealed again with polyaspartic.

An anti-slip was added to help maintain the necessary slip resistant coefficient necessary for a public shower area.
